eBay Motors is the largest automotive website in the world in terms of traffic. By placing your listing on eBay, you will make your vehicle available to millions of potential buyers.
Mota makes it dead simple to get your listing up on eBay Motors.
1. Log into your Mota Account and find the Seller Tools tab.
2. Look for the eBay Publishing Authorization link and click it. Then click the Request eBay Authorization button that appears in the dialogue.
3. Enter your username and password on eBay.com and click Sign In. On the next page where it says "Link your eBay account to Mota.com" click "I Agree".
4. Once your Mota listing is published, Mota will automatically create a fixed price auction under your eBay account using our robust listing template. You will find a link to your eBay listing under the Marketplaces section of the Seller Tools tab.
Please note:
- Mota does not store your eBay login information, that goes straight to eBay
- You may cancel your eBay listing at anytime by going into your Mota Account and clicking Cancel
- If you decide to finalize your transaction on eBay, you may be charged additional fees by eBay. These are not included in the price of your Mota subscription.
When Will My Ad Be Posted / Updated on all Marketplaces?

Each marketplace has its own publishing rules. Every time you make a change to your listing and re-publish it, it will take some time for those changes to make it to each marketplace partner we have. Here are the times you can expect to wait before your changes take effect:
- Mota.com: Immediately
- Cars.com: 2 hours
- AutoTrader.com: 3-6 hours
- MSN Autos: 3-6 hours
- Vast.com: 24-48 hours
- AOL Autos: 48 hours
- eBay: Immediately
- Yahoo! Autos: 48 hours
- Oodle: 24-48 hours

No. MOTA is focused exclusively on For Sale By Owner (or Private Party) sales.
My password doesn't work!

If you have forgotten your password or it is not working, then click the link within the login box that says, "Forgot your account password?" Enter the email address associated with your Mota account and click "continue". A temporary password will be sent to your email. Log into your account using your email address and the temporary password provided. Once you have logged in you will be prompted to change your password.
How do I upload photos?

- Log into your Mota account.
- Click the “My Account” link in the top right corner of the main page.
- This will bring you to the Seller Tools section. Find the Photos link and click on it.
- Within the photos section you are given the option to either categorize previously uploaded photos or to upload new photos. Click on the
- Upload Images tab.
- The left side of the uploader list the folders on your computer. The right side display thumbnails of the pictures in the highlighted folder from the left. When an image is found that you want to display on your listing, click the checkmark box on the thumbnails.
- Once the image(s) is selected, then click SEND. The SEND button is located in the top right corner of the uploader. You will not have the option to select SEND until at least one image is selected.
- The file will upload and a dialog box will appear that says “Upload complete.” Click “okay” in this box.
- The photo(s) that you uploaded will now be displayed in the categorize images tab and displayed on your listing.
